REACT Initiative, Inc.

Dr. Latimer-Hearn serves as the Founder and Education Director of REACT, a nonprofit advocating for equity in education on a global scale.  REACT currently serves organizations in Burkina Faso, Canada, Mauritius, and the U.S.

Respect the Dialect

Dr. Latimer-Hearn promotes awareness and understanding of African American English (AAE).  In addition to managing our online community, I provide continuing education about AAE and AAE-speaking populations.

Mentorship

Dr. Latimer-Hearn provides guidance for global majority students independently and through partnerships with post-secondary institutions.  I also support early career speech-language pathologists and educators who serve global majority students.
